All necessary equipment for Cladding is located atop of the caster with the strip fed directly into the hot metal just prior to the rolls. The 2000 tons of separating force embeds the cladding material into the cast strip. The Coolant systems were built new in 2003 when installed. There are separate cooling towers for each caster, with decavitators built into the water lines. 4 separate pumps move the coolant, 2 being primary with 2 being back ups ... although all are identical. All lines are designed with flange connections for take out. (Vitolic) Roll Change is done 2 rolls at a time. A shared sled moves the rolls into the caster housings where Hydraulic floor jacks lift both rolls into place. There is only one shared roll sled common to both casters! Sold "as is, where is" EXW on plant foundation, not under power.
