Capacity:

• Holding = 10,000 lbs of aluminum (75 cubic feet x 140lbs per cubic foot for aluminum)
• Melting = 4,000 lbs/hr clean aluminum scrap

Condition Report:

• Mechanical = very good
• Refractory = needs to be replaced (best anyway when moving the furnace)
• Hydraulics = good
• Controls = good
• Fume hood = good
• Baghouse = poor
• Burner = NOT INCLUDED!

Furnace:

• Rotary barrel on tilt frame with 3 point suspension = tail shaft bearing + 2 trunnion wheels with "riding" ring on barrel
• 2 hydraulic tilt cylinders (raise-lower) using 10hp hydraulic motors
• Tilt = 20° back for charging & melting / 24° forward for pouring / 1° per second up or down / emergency check valves to control load and emergency lowering

Drive:

• Heavy-duty 15 hp AC variable frequency motor to provide rotation through chain/sprocket
• Infinitely variable speed from 0.5 rpm to a max of 6.0 rpm
• Heavy-duty gearbox
• Hydraulics = Baldor with 10hp Reliance motor

Burner:

• Designed for natural gas, 5 million BTU/hr
• BURNER NOT INCLUDED

Door:

• Contains Burner and Flue Exit
• Hydraulic open and close to Furnace Mouth
• 72" door opening

Refractory:

• Included but recommend replace
• Refractory lined with 6" thick castable, 3000° rated, compatible with molten contact, 1 inch insulating material between refractory and steel barrel, anchored in with SIS V- Anchors welded to drum.

Controls:

• Complete system pre-wired to operate all function of the furnace
• Electrics = 480 V / 3 ph / 60 Hz

Baghouse:

• A 25,000 CFM baghouse is on site but ...
• Condition very poor, do not recommend rebuilding
